Replacing the ageing pavilion at Murrumbeena Park with a new modern sport and community hub complete with meeting and function rooms will be a boost for local social and sports organisations.

The shopping strip at this intersection received a lift with footpath and street furniture upgrades and the creation of a parklet for residents to linger and enjoy.

Inner South-east Metropolitan region is home to major universities and hospitals, and its diversifying economy can support high-skill, creative, knowledge-intensive sectors.

Key employment sectors span: retail trade; rental, hiring and real estate services; professional, scientific, and technical services; health care and social assistance; education and training; and accommodation and food services.


The Inner South-east Partnership, in consultation with local communities, has identified a need for:

  • investment in community events to support social connection
  • creating local employment hubs, encouraging startups and place-based economic development
  • open spaces to foster community connections.
