Area overview

We acknowledge and recognise the Traditional Owners of the land within the regional area, the Dja Dja Wurrung People and the Taungurung People.

The Loddon Campaspe region, with a diverse population, extends from central Victoria through to the Murray River.

Its main centre, Bendigo, is one of Victoria’s largest and fastest-growing regional cities and is a prosperous and vibrant hub of cultural and economic activity.

Manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and healthcare are all important drivers of the economy in the region.

Opportunities

Loddon Campaspe communities and the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership have identified a need for:

  • community infrastructure to address health and wellbeing challenges
  • high-speed internet and digital technology infrastructure to support innovation and business attraction.
